The Inauguration Day - A Journey begins here

Curtains are drawn. 9-April, the date all of us might be waiting for long time has come. Formally students of IIMA, we were being introduced to the school. Most of the senior professors along with Director were there to light the lamp of a year of education and a bright future.

Prof. Maheshwari, Chairperson, PGPX, gave an inaugural speech followed by Key note address by Prof. Nanda, Director, IIMA.
After introduction of various professors, it was open for questions and my colleagues showed that there was no dearth of excitement, talent, and enthusiasm towards the program.
Inaugural address ended on positive note with individual interaction with professors over tea and continued with a day-long induction sessions in our designated class room. Our Seat plan was already shared.
A session with Prof. Maheshwari was good enough to give us a flavor of why IIMA is known as the best school in the country. An interaction with Prof. Sanjay Verma was just full of one-liners. Prof. Parvinder Gupta, Coordinator, Induction led the way of introducing us to the various aspects of interpersonal relationships, which were going to be necessary for the collaborated work we would be required to do here.
Induction Day ended with an interaction with IIMA Alums who shared their perspective towards the course and school.  Inaugural dinner gave us one more opportunity to interact with various professors, alums, and fellow students informally.
Day ended with a lot of excitement and a case analysis assignment to be discussed tomorrow. Induction would be continuing for two more days.

A student again, an IIMA Student

Wow, what a feeling to see the magnificent architecture that I have seen only in TV and magazines, through my own eyes.
Although, I was here yesterday evening, but it was difficult appreciate the beauty of this place in the darkness of the dawn.
So today, here I am again to complete some administrative formalities and registration to formally acquire a student tag again. Even though I might be the least active person on social media, meeting with people with whom I had spoken to through Telegram felt like I had known them for some time.
Still, shaking hands with every new face and introducing ourselves brought us a little more close to each other. Yes of course, the same Introduction will happen over and over again before a substantially number of people start calling others by Name.
The place was filled with excitement, speculations, hopes, and various inexpressible feelings.
After completing formalities a visit to dorm and dining hall was another step to make myself familiar to the new place.

But one thing one can't miss noticing is - here everything is branded, whether it is Wall Clock, AC Remote, Tissue paper or anything else.

IIMA - A melting pot of Global Talent

An Admission offer from  IIMA, a dream place for many young students, mostly in India but elsewhere as well, has really changed the pace and direction of my life.

So here I am, returned from Toronto, a place my wife loved very much, travelling to the city that is famous for one of the greatest institutions of the country. Undoubtedly, leaving a comfortable life in a developed country is a great risk that my wife has taken to send me back to school so I can also be at par with her, an MBA J.

With many dreams in the eyes and a great desire to learn, I feel excited to engage with many accomplished professionals from many different countries and collaborate to become even better then what they were before.

Hoping for the best learning and great future for all of us!!!
